Rev. Belinda Chandler, Clergy Associate

The Rev. Belinda Chandler is a full time Chaplain and Coordinator of the Spiritual Care and Music Therapy Department, Glenbrook Hospital, NorthShore University HealthSystem. She has been a hospital Chaplain since June of 1996. Her clinical work at Glenbrook Hospital is focused in the areas of palliative care and critical care medicine.
Belinda is a member of the Association for Professional Chaplains through which she received her Board Certification. Several times a year she serves on certification review committees interviewing candidates for board certification. She also mentors candidates through the certification process. Additionally, Belinda supervises field education students from seminaries in the Chicago area.
Belinda received her Master of Divinity from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois in 1993. Over her years as an Episcopalian, she has served the Church at the local, diocesan, and national levels. She is also a certified Spiritual Director.
Prior to going to seminary, Belinda taught art in the international school system.
When she isn’t working, Belinda loves to garden, read, bike, knit, draw and watch old movies on TCM with her husband, Henry Austin. Belinda and Henry also love to spend time with their two dogs, Lexi and Summer.
